Najat SAIDI is a French-Moroccan author, photographer and director.
During her studies at Sciences Po Lyon, she traveled to the Middle East, where she started photography as an autodidact. After graduating in international cooperation, she worked for 5 years managing environmental projects in Africa and Asia.
At the same time, she continued to study photography and took a workshop with Gilles FAVIER on the creation of documentary series. She was also trained in podcasting with 1000 visages and Apple Creative Studio, which led to her first fictional story. In residency and at the Kourtrajmé school, she learnt screenwriting and directing, where she directed her first fiction in 2023.
For the past two years, she has decided to devote herself fully to the stories that inhabit her. Living between France and Morocco, she now combines writing, photography, sound and video to tell what we don't see or disappear. With a sensory approach, she tells stories, those of the people she meets, those of the places, those of our time.

Najat SAIDI est une autrice, photographe et réalisatrice franco-marocaine.
Durant ses études à Sciences Po Lyon, elle voyage au Moyen-Orient, où elle débute la photographie en autodidacte. Diplômée en coopération internationale, elle a travaillé pendant 5 ans dans la gestion de projets environnementaux en Afrique et en Asie.
Parallèlement, elle poursuit la photographie et suit un atelier avec Gilles FAVIER sur la création de séries documentaires. Elle s'est également intéressée aux podcasts et a participé à des ateliers avec 1000 visages et Apple Creative Studio, ce qui l'a amené à réaliser son premier podcast de fiction. En résidence d'écriture et à l'école Kourtrajmé, elle apprend l'écriture de scénario et la réalisation, et réalise son premier court-métrage en 2023.
Depuis deux ans, elle a décidé de se consacrer pleinement aux histoires qui l'habitent. Vivant entre la France et le Maroc, elle mêle désormais écriture, photographie, son et vidéo pour raconter ce et celleux qu'on ne voit pas ou qui disparaissent. Avec une approche sensorielle, elle raconte des histoires, celles des personnes rencontrées, celles des lieux, celles de notre époque.
